Tattoo … a way to express yourself!

f2

I have recently spoken with Andreea, my colleague, who showed me a short video on youtube and told me about her tattoo story! I liked the idea, but more than that, I liked her tattoo symbol.

The tattoo from the photos is actually a cover up of an old tattoo – a tribal one, resembling the wings of an eagle. Andreea had this first tattoo in a moment of euphoria, when she was 18 years old. She wanted something new and unusual, so the idea of having a tattoo seemed the right solution. At that time, in Romania, to have a tattoo was something really special, it gave you a kind of uniqueness.

The tattoo has lots of green branches, which represent life, the problems and difficult situations that one has to face, while the imperial lily represents her, and it is there, on top, above all, visible throughout … with small footprints, but still up on the barricades!

In general, the attitudes toward tattoos are divided: on the one hand, there are those who consider it as an artistic way to express your personality, to mark certain events in life, to transmit something or simply a way to decorate your body in an attractive and artistic way. On the other hand, there are those who judge this form of expression more harshly and that stereotype those who have tattoos. Tattoos remain, therefore, a personal choice.

As for me, I have to confess that I feel tempted about the idea of having something burnt on the body in a discreet place that is not visible and cannot subsequently create problems. But if I had to choose a tattoo, I would choose a semi-permanent one, something that does not last forever….
